Refund and Cancellation Policy
Next Gen Learning (NGL)
Effective date: 29 July, 2025
By enrolling in a course with Next Gen Learning (NGL), you agree to the terms below. This policy is designed to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
1. Cancellation and Refunds
Courses shorter than 4 weeks:
A full refund will be issued if cancellation is requested at least 10 calendar days before the published course start date.
Courses of 4 weeks or longer:
A full refund will be issued if cancellation is requested at least 14 calendar days before the published course start date.
No refunds will be available for cancellations made after these timeframes, except where required by applicable consumer or education laws.
2. Postponement
We understand that plans can change. If you need to postpone your participation in a course to the next cohort, please contact us at support@nxgl.ai and our team will be happy to assist you.
3. Cancellation Process
To cancel or request a postponement:
- Contact NGL’s Support Team at support@nxgl.ai.
- Sponsor-funded students must provide written confirmation from their sponsor.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payer:
- For sponsored students: refunds will be returned to the sponsor.
- For third-party payment plans: refunds will follow the third-party provider’s terms and timeline.
4. Course Cancellation by NGL
NGL reserves the right to cancel a course (e.g. due to insufficient enrolments).
In such cases, a full refund will be provided to all affected participants.
5. Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of confirmation.
Refunds are issued net of bank charges, foreign exchange fees, or third-party transaction costs, where applicable.
NGL will not pay interest on refunded amounts.
6. Data Protection and FERPA Notice
All personal information processed during a cancellation or refund request will be handled in accordance with:
GDPR / UK GDPR (data minimisation, right to withdraw consent)
POPIA (lawful processing, limited retention)
FERPA (education records used only by authorised officials)
CCPA (no sale of data; opt-out rights)
Your cancellation request will not affect any other rights you may have under data privacy or education laws. To exercise your data rights, please email legal@nxgl.ai.
7. Changes to This Policy
NGL may amend this policy to reflect changes in applicable law or operational practices. Enrolled students will be notified of any material changes in advance.
